Sebastiaan Society

The Hague is the city of green parks, grand palaces and a rich heritage we can be proud of. Local residents who cherish this heritage have joined forces as friends of the Prison Gate Museum and the Historical Museum of The Hague, which is housed in the building of the St. Sebastiaandoelen on Korte Vijverberg.

Representatives of the professional and business sector in The Hague can join the Sebastiaan Society, which supports the Historical Museum of The Hague/Prison Gate Museum in acquiring, preserving and presenting the heritage of The Hague to the public. By joining the Sebastiaan Society, you not only become part of cultural life in The Hague, but you also express your engagement with the rich traditions of our city. Members of the Sebastiaan Society join as a beneficiary, protector or benefactor of the society.

Membership in the Sebastiaan Society is open to reputable businesses and institutions in The Hague and the surrounding area. Membership remains valid indefinitely until cancelled by one or both parties. The board of the Sebastiaan Society may refuse membership without providing any reason for such refusal, and may cancel membership under certain terms.
